Fault Code 4/25724





Malfunction indicated
Brake signal from brake light switch faulty or absent.

Fault symptom
Car runs on basic boost pressure only.

Test procedure

1 Enter SAT command code 206.
When the brakes are not applied, the display should show 8B006.
When the brakes are applied, the display should show 8B106.

2 With a BOB plugged into the ETS control unit, all components connected and the ignition switch in the Drive position, check the voltage on socket 15 according to the table below.








3 Check fuse #24 and check that +30 voltage is supplied to it.

4 Check the operation of the brake light switch. If necessary, adjust or change a faulty switch.

5 Check the RD lead between fuse 24 and the brake light switch, and the WH lead between the brake light switch and pin 15 of the control unit, for continuity or shorting to earth.

6 Clear the fault code and drive the car to see whether it is generated afresh. If it is, try fitting an ETS control unit that is known to be OK.
