Coolant Temperature

The engine coolant temperature sensor, which is an NTC resistor, is linked to the Electronic Display Unit (EDU) control module. The control module calculates the coolant temperature from the resistance over the resistor. The control module uses this information to control steps 1 and 2 of the radiator fan, disconnect the A/C compressor at high engine temperatures and control the display on the engine temperature gauge.
