Malfunction indicated
AC/ACC not working.

Fault symptom
AC/ACC system malfunctioning or not working at all.

Test procedure

1 With "LO" set on the ACC panel, enter SAT command code 550 and listen to check that the AC relay is working (0.2 Hz).

If not, switch off the ignition and use a BOB to check the BK lead between pin 38 of the ETS control unit and pin 85 of the AC relay, and the YE lead between pin 37 of the ETS control unit and the pressure switch on the receiver (desiccant container), for continuity or shorting to earth.




2 With all components connected, the AC switched on and the engine running at idling speed, check the voltage across pins 37 and 38 of the ETS control unit, see table below.

3 Carry out the fault-tracing procedures for the AC/ACC system.

4 If no fault can be found and the above tests check out OK, try fitting an ETS control unit which is known to be OK.
