Bosch Resistor
1. Drill out the pop rivets securing the fan resistor. Protect the fan blades and the radiator using a metal strip.
2. Carefully bend to one side the two clips securing the protective cover over the cable connections and remove the cover.
3. Remove the cables using a soldering iron. Part the electrical connections and remove the cable assembly.
CAUTION: It is important that the cables are connected to the correct pin, otherwise the fan turns in the wrong direction.
4. Solder the new cable assembly to the fan motor and press on the protective cover.
5. Install the fan resistor on the fan cowling using pop rivets.
6. Plug in the 2 pin connector and secure the cables with a cable tie.
7. Run the engine until it is warm and check if the radiator fan is working.
