Front Manifold

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the oxygen sensor cables and raise the car.
2. Detach the joint with the three-way catalytic converter, undo the nuts between the exhaust manifolds and the front exhaust pipe and lower the pipe.

NOTE: There are gaskets between the exhaust manifolds and the front exhaust pipe.

3. Lower the car and remove the oil dipstick.
4. Remove the heat shield from over the exhaust manifold, disconnect the secondary air injection pipes and undo the exhaust manifold nuts.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold complete with gasket.





INSTALLATION
1. Clean the surfaces and fit the exhaust manifold complete with new gasket. Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect the secondary air injection pipes and refit the heat shield and the dipstick. Raise the car.
3. Thread in the front exhaust pipe and bolt it to the exhaust manifolds. Use new gaskets. Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
4. Bolt the joints together under the car and lower the car.
5. Connect the oxygen sensor cables.
