Lower Section
NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.1. Remove the three righthand screws on the cover for accumulator valves A and D.
2. Slightly loosen the lefthand screw and then turn up the cover.
- Hold your hand against the cover so that accumulator A does not fly off.
3. Remove balance plunge! and sleeve, spring and accumulator A.
4. Remove accumulator D and the spring.
5. Turn the lower part of the valve body upside down.
- Remove the two screws on the little cover which secure the accumulator housing.
- Then turn back the lower part of the valve body.
6. Remove the three screws securing the accumulator housing to the lower part of the valve body.
7. Remove the accumulator housing from the lower part of the valve body.
NOTE: There is a guide pin between the accumulator housing and the lower part of the valve body.
8. Remove the two clips from the underside of the accumulator housing.
9. Remove the outer and inner throttle valve and the spring.
10. Remove the selector arm.
11. Turn the entire lower part of the valve body upside down.
12. Remove the two screws securing the separator plate and the small cover to the lower part of the valve body.
- Do not move the separator plate.
13. Remove the small cover.
14. Slide the separator plate off the side of the valve body.
- Do not lift.
CAUTION:
^ The separator plate must be pushed off from the side of the valve body.
^ It must not be lifted.
^ If the separator plate is lifted up, parts in the valve body may also be lifted.
15. Remove ball and restrictions.
- Be careful to place the ball and restrictions so they cannot be mixed up when reinstalling.
- The following parts are removed:
a. Ball, accumulator D and lock-up valve 1+R, diameter 6 mm.
b. Restriction, accumulator A
c. Restriction, accumulator D
