Driver Side Replacement

WARNING Read through Technical description carefully before starting work.

Removal

1. ignition switch in the OFF position.




2. Remove the airbag, 2 screws and plugs.
3. Lift the airbag away from the steering wheel and unplug the connectors at the rear of the airbag.

Replacement




1. Plug in the connectors at the rear of the airbag.
2. Fit the airbag in the steering wheel, 2 screws and plugs.
3. Switch on the ignition and check the SRS and control module using the Tech2 instrument, as follows:
Plug the Tech2 into the data link connector under the dashboard. Clear any diagnostic trouble codes that may be present.
Switch off the ignition and switch it on again. Wait at least 10 minutes with the ignition switched on.
Check whether a diagnostic trouble code is displayed:

If a diagnostic trouble code is displayed:
Carry out fault diagnosis according to the instructions in diagnostic trouble codes.

If no diagnostic trouble code is displayed:
The airbag has been successfully fitted. Unplug the Tech2.
