Cars in stock must be remedied before delivery.
Cars already delivered must be rectified in connection with a scheduled visit to the garage for service or repairs.

Background
The flange sealant on the underside of the bonnet has been applied incorrectly. The seal has come unstuck from the bonnet in two places: on the left-hand rear edge of the bonnet by the wing, and on the right-hand rear edge of the bonnet by the A-pillar.

16-30 07 093 Sealant, Terostat 1K-PUR T226, sufficient for approx. 30 cars

Procedure
Check box A4 on the modification identity plate before proceeding. Continue as follows if the box is not marked.
1. Open the bonnet.
2. Clean both sides using Teroson FL T875. Allow to dry thoroughly.
3. Apply sealant to the left-hand side of the bonnet behind the existing seal as illustrated.
4. Spread the sealant out into a thin, even layer.
5. Apply sealant to the right-hand side of the bonnet behind the existing seal as illustrated.
6. Spread the sealant out into a thin, even layer.
7. Allow the sealant to dry for five minutes.
8. Cover the area below the bonnet before touching up the paintwork.
9. Paint the area with a touch-up pen.
10. Allow the paint to dry for at least 5 minutes. If necessary, apply another coat of paint.
11. Remove the cover.
12. Close the bonnet.
Marking the modification identity plate
On completion of the necessary measures, box A4 on the modification identity plate must be marked. If the work was carried out by the importer, mark the box with a "7". If done by a dealer, mark it with an "8".
