Internal Control Module. Malfunction.







Fault symptoms
- CHECK ENGINE.
- Engine will not start.

On-Board Diagnostics

Type of diagnosis:
- Once per driving cycle. Interrupted when fault criteria fulfilled or OK reported. Restarts next driving cycle.

Enable criteria:
- Ignition in ON position.

Fault criteria:
- Flash memory checksum error.

Dependents:
- None.

System reaction to a fault:
- Fuel shut-off

OK report:
- Flash memory checksum correct.

- Type III.

Diagnostic help
The flash memory has been incorrectly programmed, which means that the control module must be replaced if it cannot be reprogrammed.
