Location
Rear section of the roof.





Main purpose
Used for phone and telematics services as well as audio/navigation system. The antenna has outputs for CDMA/AMPS, GPS and XM.

Quarter-wave antenna for:
^ Frequency band, phone
AMPS 824-894 MHz (analogue)
PCS 1850-1900 MHz (CDMA)

^ Frequency band, GPS
1574-1576 MHz.

^ Frequency band, satellite radio
2332 - 2345 MHz

Connection
CDMA/AMPS connection connected to phone (Tel 1 or UHP) or phone function in OnStar.

The GPS connection is connected to OnStar and/or the audio/navigation system. When the car is equipped with OnStar and navigation system the coaxial cable is connected to a splice in order to distribute the signals between the systems.

The XM connection is connected to the satellite radio receiver.
