Navigation System: Service and Repair




Head Unit, Audio/Audio With Navigation (353/635)

To remove
1. Carry out actions before removing control module.
2. Remove the center air vent from the instrument panel by carefully bending the hooks (A) that are accessible through the grille.

NOTE: It is essential the correct hooks (A) are bent as the hooks holding together the air vent are also visible through the grille.





3. Remove the radio unit (A):





^ Remove the retaining bolts (B)
^ Lift out the radio unit (A)
^ Unplug the connectors (C) and detach the antenna cable (D).

IMPORTANT: Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins.

To fit

1. Fit the radio unit (A):





^ Unplug the connectors (C) and detach the antenna cable (D).

IMPORTANT: Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector.

^ Fit the radio unit (A). There will be an audible click.
^ Fit the retaining bolts (B)

2. Position and fit the air vent (A).





3. Carry out Procedure after control module replacement.
4. Check the function.
