Wiring Harness, Rear Door







Removal
1. Raise the window.
2. Remove the speaker, rear door.

NOTE: Mark all the connectors before unplugging them from their respective components.

3. Remove the lock unit, rear door .
4. Detach the connector (A) for the electric window lift.







5. Undo all of the wiring harness cable ties (B).
6. Detach the rubber grommet (A) in the B-pillar lower edge and unplug the connector (B).







7. Route the wiring harness out through the hole at the front of the door (C).

Refitting

IMPORTANT:
- Secure the wiring harness to prevent the risk of chafing and rattling.
- Check all rubber seals to minimize the risk of leakage.

NOTE: Spray all the connectors with "Kontakt 61" to prevent verdigris formation. Clean all the grounding points and coat them with Vaseline.

1. Route the wiring harness in through the hole at the front of the door and fit the rubber grommet (C).







2. Plug in the connector (B) and fit the rubber grommet (A).
3. Position the wiring harness in accordance with the earlier routing and secure with cable ties (B).







4. Plug in the connector (A) for the electric window lift.
5. Fit the lock unit, rear door.
6. Remove the speaker, rear door.
