Body Repairs

Work on cars equipped with airbag

All the Saab 9-5 model cars are fitted with an airbag system. Note the following when carrying out repairs on the bodywork:
- Read "Safety and handling instructions" in "Restraint Systems" before commencing.
- For work where the body may be subjected to bumps or blows, unplug the connection for the airbag system control module.
- When welding, remove and cover the battery negative lead.
- The screw hole for the control module and grounding points must be masked during painting to protect the ground connection.
