Fault symptoms

The fuel gauge indicates a larger amount of fuel in the tank than the actual amount of fuel.

Conditions

The baffle plate has loosened from its original position in the tank and affects the fuel gauge.

To check

Check that the baffle plate is properly positioned in the tank.
