Fault symptoms

The xenon lighting indicator is not working.

Diagnostic help

The lamp normally lights up during ignition and when there is a fault in one of the xenon units. The xenon unit grounds the voltage supply through the indicator lamp on the main instrument unit.

Checking the wiring harness

Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short-circuits in the leads. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool during the test.
