Oil By Mating Face of Gearcase

Moist with oil at mating surface on gear case

Fault symptoms
Moist with oil on bottom part of gear case at mating surface clutch housing - gear case.

Conditions
Oil moisture can occur at the locations described above because bolts with steel grade 8.8 cannot be tightened with sufficient torque.

Action
Change bolts to new steel grade 10.9 as illustrated.





Note
Tightening torque has been changed for the new bolts.

Tightening torque, pos A-C, 31 Nm (23 lbf ft)

Tightening torque, pos D, 20 Nm + 45 degrees (15 lbf ft + 45 degrees)
