Rear Side Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the power window switch. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement).
2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement).
3. Remove the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
4. Remove the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
5. Remove the upper sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Upper Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Upper Sealing Strip Replacement).
6. Remove the inside release handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement).
8. Remove the speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement (Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement).
9. Remove the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
10. Remove the stationary window and run channel assembly. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement).
11. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement).
12. Remove the door latch assembly. Refer to Rear Side Door Latch Replacement (Service and Repair).
13. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
14. Remove the check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair).
15. Remove the wire harness from the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement (Rear Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement).




16. Remove the bolts that retain the door to the hinge plates.
17. Remove the door from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the door to the vehicle with an assistant.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Apply Loctite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489), or equivalent to the fastener prior to installation.
3. Install the bolts that retain the door to the hinge plates and tighten to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).
4. Install the wire harness to the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement (Rear Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement).
5. Install the check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Install the door latch assembly. Refer to Rear Side Door Latch Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement).
9. Install the stationary window and run channel assembly. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement).
10. Install the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
11. Install the speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement (Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement).
12. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement).
13. Install the inside release handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
14. Install the upper sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Upper Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Upper Sealing Strip Replacement).
15. Install the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
16. Install the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
17. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement).
18. Install the power window switch. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement).
