Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the 2 screws that retain the insulator panel to the instrument panel (I/P).
2. Release the insulator panel retaining clip from the I/P substrate.
3. Lower the insulator panel.




4. Remove the 2 data link connector (DLC) retaining screws.
5. Remove the DLC from the insulator panel.
6. Remove the splice pack from the insulator panel.
7. Remove the hazard and turn signal flasher from the insulator panel. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Remove the insulator panel from the I/P.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the insulator panel to the I/P.
2. Install the hazard and turn signal flasher to the insulator panel. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Install the splice pack to the insulator panel.
4. Position the DLC to the insulator panel.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

5. Install the DLC retaining screws and tighten to 2.5 Nm (22 in. lbs.).




6. Install the insulator panel tabs to the cowl slots.




7. Raise the insulator panel to the I/P.
8. Install the insulator panel retaining clip to the I/P substrate.
9. Install the 2 screws that retain the insulator panel to the I/P and tighten to 2.5 Nm (22 in. lbs.).
