Lumbar Support Cable Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
2. Remove the seat trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement).
3. Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement).
4. Pull the cover half-way up the seat back.
5. Remove the lumbar cable (2) from the cable clip (1) located on the lower seat back.
6. Pull the seat back panel and pad away from the frame to expose the lumbar mechanism.
7. Remove the cable from the lumbar spring.
8. Unhook the cable end from the lumbar mechanism.
9. Remove 2 screws (1) securing the cable to the seat adjuster.
Installation Procedure
1. Hook the cable end into the lumbar mechanism.
2. Install the cable to the lumbar spring.
3. Install the lumbar cable (2) in the cable clip (1) located on the lower seat back.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
4. Install 2 screws (1) securing the cable to the seat adjuster. Tighten the lumbar cable screws to 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.).
5. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement).
6. Install the seat trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement).
7. Install the seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
