Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the 5 bolts securing the heat shield to the floor panel studs.
3. Remove the heat shield from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Place the catalytic converter heat shield onto the floor panel studs.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Secure the heat shield with the 5 bolts. Tighten the catalytic converter heat shield bolts to 7 Nm (62 in. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
