Water Pump Replacement (LHU/A20NFT)

EN-44602 Water Pump Holder

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools.

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement.
2. Remove the radiator outlet pipe. Refer to Radiator Outlet Pipe Replacement.
3. Remove the water pump cover. Refer to Water Pump Cover Replacement.

4. Note
With nonobservance it can come to a overstress of the timing chain and therefore for damages in components and noise objections.

Install the EN-44602 water pump holder (1).





- Tighten the EN-44602water pump holder and rotate clockwise to tighten the water pump and balancer chain.
- Fix with EN-44602 water pump holder (1) the water pump sprocket (2).
5. Remove the 3 fasteners (1) from the water pump chain sprocket.





6. Remove the 4 fasteners (1) from the water pump.





Installation Procedure

1. Refer to Fastener Caution.
Install the water pump and tighten the fasteners (1) to 23Nm (17 lb ft).





2. Install the water pump sprocket and tighten the fasteners (1) to 8 Nm (71 lb in).





3. Remove the EN-44602 water pump holder (1).
4. Install the water pump cover. Refer to Water Pump Cover Replacement.
5. Install the radiator outlet pipe. Refer to Radiator Outlet Pipe Replacement.
6. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement.
