Plates and Stickers
Plates and stickers
When contacting a Saab dealer, it is sometimes important to know the car's VIN, engine serial number and gearbox serial number.
1. The marking plate for modifications (campaign plate) is located on the right-hand side of the engine compartment on cars in markets requiring such marking.
2. VIN and bar-code, inside windscreen
3. Gearbox serial number, see Gearbox, identification information (AF-40) or Gearbox, identification information (F40)
4. Engine serial number, see Identification of engine (LHU), Engine identification (LLU), Engine identification LAU) or Engine identification (LBY)
5. Sticker for tire pressures and colour codes (upholstery and body), driver's side B-pillar
6. VIN plate, incl. EU approval number, driver's side B-pillar
7. VIN (stamped in body) in firewall in engine compartment.
Mounting the campaign plate
The campaign plate is not factory-mounted in the car. It is instead found in the car's Warranty and Service Manual. For markets requiring marking in the car, the plate must be mounted as follows:
1. Open bonnet.
2. Clean the body surface to which the plate will be affixed using 93 160 907 Cleaning agent. Remove the protective plastic from the rear of the plate.
3. Press the plate into place as illustrated.
4. Mark the plate in the designated box and close the bonnet.
