Cooling Fan Control Logic
The cooling fan is commanded on based on A/C system pressure, engine coolant temperature, or transaxle fluid temperature.^ Enabled if coolant temperature exceeds 102°C (216°F) or transaxle fluid temperature exceeds 120°C (248°F) or A/C system pressure exceeds 1137 kPa (165 psi).
^ Disabled if coolant temperature goes below 99°C (210°F) or transaxle fluid temperature goes below 112°C (233°F) or A/C system pressure goes below 722 kPa (105 psi).
^ Once the fan is enabled, it remains on until the vehicle speed exceeds 30 km/h (18 mph).
After Run
The cooling fan is enabled when the engine is shutdown under extreme hot conditions. Enabled when the engine shutdown coolant temperature exceeds 105°C (22°F). Disabled when the coolant temperature drops below 95°C (203°F) or after a maximum of 5 minutes run time.
