Brake System Inspection
BRAKE SYSTEM INSPECTION:For convenience, the following inspections should be done when wheels are removed for rotation:
^ Lines and hoses for proper installation, binding, leaks, cracks, and chafing.
^ Disc brake pads for wear and rotors for surface condition.
^ Drum brake linings for wear and cracks.
^ All other brake parts, e.g., drums and wheel cylinders, includes ABS wheel sensors, etc.
^ Parking brake adjustment. Refer to the Owner Manual portion of your Owner's Handbook.
IMPORTANT: Inspect brakes more often if driving habits or conditions result in frequent braking.
Replace any components that have high effort or excessive wear. Do not lubricate accelerator and cruise control cables.
