20. Torque Converter Housing Cleaning and Inspection

TORQUE CONVERTER HOUSING CLEANING AND INSPECTION





1. Remove fluid baffle (803) and bolts (807).
2. Remove fluid pipe retainer lube bolt (806).
3. Remove lube fluid pipe retainer (805).





4. Remove lube fluid pipe (804).





5. Inspect torque converter housing for damage.





NOTICE: Do not bend or damage lube fluid pipe.

6. Using a plastic hammer, install lube fluid pipe (804).





7. Place 3 chip collector magnets (808) into fluid baffle (803).





8. Install fluid baffle (803) and fluid baffle bolts (807).
Torque: Fluid Baffle Bolts: 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.)
9. Install lube fluid pipe retainer (805), bolt (806) and washer.
Torque: Lube Apply Tube Retainer: 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.)
