21. Torque Converter Housing Installation

TORQUE CONVERTER HOUSING INSTALLATION





1. Remove case fluid passage seal (89).
2. Install a new case fluid passage seal (89).





3. Apply a gasket seal to torque converter housing.
4. Install torque converter housing to transaxle case.

IMPORTANT: Use new seal bolts.

5. Install seven 30 mm non-coated bolts (1) and hand tighten.
6. Install four 30 mm bolts (2) coating with Permatex 242 and hand tighten.
7. Install two 35 mm bolts (3) coating with Permatex 242 and hand tighten.
8. Install one 45 mm bolt (4) and hand tighten.
9. Install one 30 mm bolt/stud (5) and hand tighten.





10. Tighten torque converter housing bolts in sequence.
Torque: Torque Converter Housing Bolts: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)
