Control Assembly

CONTROL ASSEMBLY

- J36346 Fascia Retainer Remover

REMOVAL
1. Disable SIR System.
2. Remove console.





3. Using a Fascia Retainer Remover J36346, disconnect shifter cable from control assembly pin.
4. Remove shifter cable retainer clip and remove cable from control assembly.





5. Disconnect park lock cable assembly from pin on control assembly.
6. Depress tab on park lock cable and remove cable from control assembly.





7. Remove indicator bulb by rotating the bulb a quarter turn and pulling out.





8. Disconnect control assembly electrical connectors.





9. Remove nuts from control assembly.
10. Remove control assembly and replace if necessary.

INSTALLATION
1. Install control assembly.
Torque: Control Assembly-to-Bracket Bolts: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)





2. Connect control assembly electrical connectors.





3. Install indicator bulb by inserting and rotating one-quarter turn.





4. Install park lock cable onto control assembly.
5. Connect park lock cable onto control assembly pin.





6. Install shifter cable onto control assembly. Secure with shifter cable retainer clip.
7. Connect shifter cable onto control assembly pin.
8. Install console.
9. Enable SIR system.
