58. Camshaft Cover Installation

CAMSHAFT COVER (UNIT REPAIR)

INSTALLATION





1. Assemble camshaft cover and gasket, use care to make sure that gasket is located in retaining groove on camshaft cover.
2. Install cover on cylinder head and hand tighten bolts.





3. Install ground strap.
Torque:
Camshaft Cover Bolts: 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
Camshaft Cover Ground Strap Bolts: 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)





4. Install spark plugs.
Torque:
Spark Plugs: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)





5. Install ignition coil and module assembly to cam cover.
Torque:
Ignition Coil-to-Camshaft Cover Bolts: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
6. Install power steering backing plate.
Torque:
Power Steering Backing Plate: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
