READING DTCS WITH SCAN TOOL
When the electronic power steering (EPS) control module detects a fault, it stores a DTC in the General Information table (current DTCs) and commands the I/P cluster to illuminate the Service Wrench telltale. When the ignition switch is Off, the current DTCs are moved to the Malfunction History table (history DTCs) and cleared from the General information table.

IMPORTANT: The visual inspection is very important. It must be done carefully.
