Output Shaft Assemble

OUTPUT SHAFT ASSEMBLY

- J 24433 Press Tube

ASSEMBLY





IMPORTANT: Lubricate all components in transaxle fluid before installation.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the oil hole in bushing is 900 from the oil hole in output shaft.

1. Install thrust washer using Press Tube J24433 and a hydraulic press.
2. Install bushing using Press Tube J24433 and a hydraulic press.





3. Install caged needle bearing (3).
4. Install reverse gear (2).
5. Install reverse gear blocking ring (1).





IMPORTANT: The raised center hub of the 5th/Reverse synchronizer assembly faces the 5th gear.

IMPORTANT: Line up the blocking ring tabs and the hub keyways while pressing.

6. Install 5th/Reverse synchronizer using Press Tube J24433 and a hydraulic press.





7. Install bearing bushing using an appropriate tool and a hydraulic press.





8. Install 5th gear blocking ring (3).
9. Install two caged needle bearings (2).
10. Install 5th gear (1).





IMPORTANT: The 3rd gear will install very tight (up to 89 kN (10 tons) of force). Ensure that the mating surfaces are clean.

11. Install 3rd gear using Press Tube J24433 and a hydraulic press.





IMPORTANT: The 4th gear will install very tight (up to 89 kN (10 tons) of force). Ensure that the mating surfaces are clean.

12. Install 4th gear using Press Tube J24433 and a hydraulic press.
