C0276-TCM/TRACTION CONTROL NOT ALLOWED





The Transmission Control Module (TCM) supplies the Electronic Brake And Traction Control Module (EBTCM) with CVT gear ratio and turbine speed using a serial data message.

DTC PARAMETERS
DTC C0276 will be current if:
The EBTCM detects invalid CVT gear ratio information from the TCM 3 seconds after start-up.
When DTC C0276 is current:
^ The TCS LED is turned Off.
^ The EBTCM will disable TCS.
^ ABS telltale is not illuminated.
^ ABS is not disabled.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Check the TCM for any DTCs. Check the EBTCM for any communication DTCs. Diagnose any TCM DTCs first.
Possible causes for DTC C0276:
^ Proper connection.
^ Backed-out terminals.
^ Broken connector locks.
^ Corrosion in connectors/terminals.
^ Burned, chafed, or pinched wiring.
^ Broken wire inside insulation.
^ Loose components.
^ EBTCM not receiving message from the TCM.
