P1868

The transmission control module (TCM) contains a program to keep track of remaining transaxle fluid life. The TCM slowly decrement trans oil life left when Trans. Fluid Temp is greater than 100°C (212°F). The program uses run time and transaxle fluid temperature to determine the remaining fluid life. DTC P1868 sets if Trans. Fluid Life = 0 percent, and Trans. Fluid Temp is greater than 100°C (212°F).

DTC PARAMETERS
DTC P1868 will set if Transaxle Fluid Life equals 0 percent, and Trans. Fluid Temp is greater than 100°C (212°F)

P1868 is a type C DTC.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
If DTC 1868 is set, perform the following:
1. Replace the transaxle fluid.
2. Reset the Transaxle Oil Life to 100% with a Scan tool.
3. Record and clear DTCs.
