57. Camshaft Drive Sprocket Installation

CAMSHAFT DRIVE SPROCKETS (UNIT REPAIR)

TOOLS REQUIRED
- J42069 Timing Belt Alignment Kit

INSTALLATION





IMPORTANT: Install aligN.ment pin in correct numbered, aligN.ment slot on camshaft gear.

1. Install camshaft gear.





2. Install camshaft gear bolt.

IMPORTANT: Use a new camshaft gear bolt. The required tightening method will stretch to its yield point, therefore, the bolt is not reusable. Use relevant Timing Belt Alignment Kit J42069-1 and J42069-2 to hold camshaft gear and camshaft in place while tightening camshaft gear bolt.

^ Tighten camshaft year bolt.
Torque:
Camshaft Gear Bolt: 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.)+ 60 degrees + 15 degrees
