58. Camshaft Cover Installation

CAMSHAFT COVERS (UNIT REPAIR)

INSTALLATION





1. Lightly coat new seals, including O-rings, with engine oil prior to installation to assist in holding O-ring seals to valve cover.
2. Install valve cover seals.
3. Apply a thin coat of silicone sealer Permatex The Right Stuff or equivalent at the front and at the back of seals.





4. Install valve cover to cylinder head.
5. Install valve cover bolts.
Torque:
Camshaft Cover Bolts: 8 N.m (71 inch lbs.)
