Heated Oxygen Sensor 1, Bank 1 and Bank 2
HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 1, BANK 1 AND BANK 2TOOLS REQUIRED

REMOVAL
NOTE: Bank 1 are cylinders 1, 3, 5 which are closest to front of dash.
1. Ignition Off.
2. Disconnect heated oxygen sensor 1 harness connector.
NOTICE: Removal of the sensor is easier if the exhaust system is slightly warmed. Be careful that the exhaust is not too hot to work on safely. Moving the sensor back and forth while applying penetrating oil to the threads will aid in removal and will decrease the chance of exhaust pipe damage.
3. Use liquid penetrate before removing sensor.
4. Remove heated oxygen sensor 1 using 02 Sensor Wrench J39194C (or equivalent).
INSTALLATION
1. Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound Saturn P/N 21485279 (or equivalent) to threads of the heated oxygen sensor 1.
2. Install heated oxygen sensor 1 using 02 Sensor Wrench J39194C (or equivalent).
Torque:
H02S-I (Sensor-to Exhaust Pipe): 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.)
3. Connect heated oxygen sensor 1 harness connector. Make sure locking tab is in the full closed position.
4. Start engine and make sure no exhaust leaks exist.
