Low Fuel Telltale

The ECM will send fuel level information over the CAN link to the BCM. If the fuel level is low, the BCM will send a message to the I/P cluster over the Class II link to turn On the Low Fuel telltale. The Low Fuel telltale will illuminate when approximately 5 liters (1.3 gallons) of usable fuel remains in the tank.
