Left Front Door Power Window Will Not Go Up or Works Intermittently (Replace Left Door Power Window Switch Assembly)
Models Affected:
2002-2003 Saturn VUE vehicles with power windows built up to and including VIN breakpoint 35889370

Condition:
Some customers may comment on having difficulty closing the left front door window, especially after using the express down window feature and then attempting to raise (close) the window (e.g., such as when at a tollbooth or card code reading gate.)
Cause:
The express down timing circuit board within the power window switch may permit current to stay on too long. This may cause the thermal relay in the regulator motor to open and render the regulator motor inoperative until the thermal relay closes. The thermal relay will cool down and close in about 15 seconds, resulting in normal operation of the motor.
Correction:
Replace the left front door window switch assembly with P/N 22720230 that contains a new express down timing circuit board with a shorter time. (Refer to Window Switches Removal & Installation procedures in the Instrument Panel & Console section of the 2002-2003 Saturn VUE Body R & I Service Manual.)
