Vibration When Parked On An Incline
(Replace Front and Rear Transmission Mounts, Set the Parking Brake)

Models Affected:

2002-2003 VUE Vehicles with Vti Transaxle (RPO M16/M75) - built prior to and including VIN breakpoint 38851169

Attention: Technician

Condition:

Some customers may comment on a vehicle vibration with the transmission in park when the vehicle is parked on an incline.

Cause:

This condition may be caused by insufficient damping of the transaxle mounts when excessively loaded.

Correction:

Replace the front and rear transaxle mounts with the new third design mounts (P/N 22716726 - Front Transaxle

Mount, P/N 22716366 - Rear Transaxle Mount) and perform a powertrain mount balance procedure. Refer to the "Mount Replacement and Powertrain Mount Balance" procedures in the 2002-2003 VUE Chassis Service Manual.
