9. Case Cover and 1 - 2 Reverse Clutch Assembly Installation

CASE COVER AND 1 - 2 REVERSE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION





1. Remove any packing material and automatic transaxle fluid from contacting surfaces of rear case and transaxle case.

IMPORTANT: Be careful not to get any oil on the contacting surfaces of rear case or transaxle case.

2. Apply formed-in-place gasket to rear case.





3. Install case cover assembly.





IMPORTANT: Use NEW seal bolts.

4. Install NEW 30 mm bolts (1) and hand tighten.
5. Install NEW 45 mm bolt (2) and hand tighten.
6. Install NEW 48 mm, bolts (3) casting threads with Permatex 242 and hand tighten.
7. Install new 30 mm bolts (4) coating bolt threads with Permatex 242 and hand tighten.





8. Tighten case cover assembly bolts in sequence.
Torque: Case Cover Assembly Bolts: 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.)
