LIFT GATE AJAR INDICATOR DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

The IPC illuminates the liftgate ajar indicator in the instrument panel cluster when the BCM detects that the liftgate lock actuator/ajar switch is open. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM requesting illumination. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
