Lock Cylinder Replacement - Door

Removal Procedure





1. Ensure the window is in the full-up position.
2. Remove the outer front door panel. Refer toOuter Door Panel Replacement Front - Bolt On () .
3. Pull back the front door sound insulator at the rear. Refer to Sound Insulator Replacement - Front Door (Sound Insulator Replacement - Front Door) .
4. Remove the C-clip from the lock cylinder, and push the lock cylinder into the door.
5. Disconnect the lock rod from the latch mechanism.
6. Remove the lock cylinder from the outer door panel.



Installation Procedure


Important: Incorrect orientation of the lock cylinder retainer will result in improper fit of the outer door panel.






1. Position the lock cylinder to the outer door panel.
2. Connect the lock rod to the latch mechanism.
3. Install the C-clip to the lock cylinder.
4. Pull back the front door sound insulator. Refer to Sound Insulator Replacement - Front Door (Sound Insulator Replacement - Front Door) .
5. Install the outer front door panel. Refer to Outer Door Panel Replacement Front - Bolt On () .
6. Inspect the lock cylinder for proper operation.
