4th, 5th, Reverse Clutch Inspection
1. Inspect each clutch piston(s) (616) or (632) and clutch piston check valve. If the clutch check valve is loose or damaged, replace the clutch piston.
2. Check the spring retainer cap(s) (613) or (629) and retaining ring(s) (612) or (628) for wear or damage.
3. Inspect the clutch steel (611) or (627) and fiber plates (610) or (626), and clutch backing plate(s) (609) or (625) for wear, damage, or discoloration.
If the clutch fiber plates are worn or damaged, replace as a set.
If the clutch steel plates are worn, damaged or discolored, replace the plates as a set.
