Lock Rod Adjustment - Sliding Door
Important: By removing the power sliding door (PSD) 15A fuse, the low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules (PSDM) will be interrupted and both PSDs will be inoperative.
1. If equipped with a power sliding door, disable the PSD system by removing the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Sliding Door (Water Deflector Replacement - Sliding Door)
3. Open the sliding door 5 cm (2 in).
4. Connect the rear of the lock rod to the latch.
5. Connect the front of the lock rod to front latch assembly.
6. Adjust the barrel nut until the edge of the nut is between the center and the rear edge of the retaining clip.
7. Verify that the inside door handle and the outside door handle operate correctly.
8. Install the water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Sliding Door (Water Deflector Replacement - Sliding Door) .
Important: By installing the 15A fuse, the low current logic power will be restored to both the LH and RH PSDMs and the PSDs will be operational. However, both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of the PSD. Refer toAcutator Control Module - Power Sliding Door (PSD) Programming and Setup .
9. If equipped with a power sliding door, enable the PSD system by installing the PSD 15A fuse into the I/P fuse block.
