Blower Motor - Auxiliary (With RPO Code E59)
BLOWER MOTOR REPLACEMENT - AUXILIARY (WITH RPO CODE E59)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the left lower quarter trim panel.
2. Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.
4. Remove the lower auxiliary air distribution duct bolts and retainers.
5. Remove the lower auxiliary air distribution duct.
6. Remove the auxiliary blower motor housing screws.
IMPORTANT: The auxiliary blower motor must be removed with the blower motor housing.
7. Lift the auxiliary blower motor housing and remove from the HVAC module assembly.
8. Remove the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws.
9. Remove the auxiliary blower motor from the blower motor housing.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the auxiliary blower motor to the blower motor housing.
2. Install the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws.
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the blower motor housing to the auxiliary HVAC module assembly.Align the rear tabs of the blower motor housing to the HVAC module.
4. Install the auxiliary blower motor housing screws.
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).
5. Install the lower auxiliary air distribution duct.
6. Install the lower auxiliary air distribution retainers.
7. Install the lower auxiliary air distribution ducts bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
8. Connect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.
9. Connect the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector.
10. Install the left lower quarter trim panel.
