Fender Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel () in Exterior Trim.
3. Remove the mirror applique. Refer to Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame (Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame) in Exterior Trim.
4. Remove the windshield frame applique. Refer to Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame (Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame) in Exterior Trim.
5. Remove the side marker lamp assembly. Refer to Marker Lamp Replacement - Side in Lighting Systems.




6. Remove the bolts and nuts from the bottom, front, and top of the fender.
7. Remove antenna mast, if equipped. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement in Entertainment.
8. Remove the fender from the vehicle.
9. If the fender requires replacement, remove the following components:

* The fender emblem. Refer to Emblem/Nameplate Replacement - Front Fender (Emblem/Nameplate Replacement - Front Fender) in Exterior Trim.
* The fender brace. Refer to Fender Extension Bracket Replacement - Front (Fender Extension Bracket Replacement - Front) .




Installation Procedure

1. If the fender requires replacement, install the following components:

* The fender emblem. Refer to Emblem/Nameplate Replacement - Front Fender (Emblem/Nameplate Replacement - Front Fender) in Exterior Trim.
* The fender brace. Refer to Fender Extension Bracket Replacement - Front (Fender Extension Bracket Replacement - Front) .





2. Position and align the front fender to the vehicle

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the upper front fender to structure attachments bolts.

Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Install the antenna mast, if equipped. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement in Entertainment.
5. Install the following:

* The upper rear fender bracket bolt.
* The lower front fender to structure attaching nuts.
* The front fender lower rear bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).


6. Install the side marker lamp assembly. Refer to Marker Lamp Replacement - Side in Lighting Systems.
7. Install the windshield frame applique. Refer to Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame (Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame) in Exterior Trim.
8. Install the mirror applique. Refer to Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame (Applique Replacement - Windshield Frame) in Exterior Trim.
9. Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel () in Exterior Trim.
10. Install the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
