CYLINDER HEAD BOLT RE-USABILITY

Notice: This component uses torque-to-yield bolts. When servicing this component do not reuse the bolts, New torque-to-yield bolts must be installed. Reusing used torque-to-yield bolts will not provide proper bolt torque and clamp load. Failure to install NEW torque-to-yield bolts may lead to engine damage.

INTAKE MANIFOLD

Lower Intake Manifold Bolt - Center
First Pass 7 Nm (62 lb in)
Final Pass 13 Nm (115 lb in)

Lower Intake Manifold Bolt - Corner
First Pass 7 Nm (62 lb in)
Final Pass 25 Nm (18 lb ft)

Upper Intake Manifold Bolt/Stud 25 Nm (18 lb ft)

MAIN BEARING CAP

Crankshaft Main Bearing Cap Bolt/Stud
First Pass 50 Nm (37 lb ft)
Final Pass 77 degrees

ROD BEARING CAP

Connecting Rod Bearing Cap Bolt
First Pass 25 Nm (18 lb ft)
Final Pass 110 degrees

CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

Crankshaft Balancer Bolt
Installation Pass Using the Old Bolt to Ensure the Balancer is Completely Installed 125 Nm (92 lb ft)
First Pass - Install a NEW Bolt After the Installation Pass and Tighten as Described in the First and Final Passes 125 Nm (92 lb ft)
Final Pass 130 degrees

FLYWHEEL/FLEXPLATE

Flywheel Bolt
Automatic Transmission 70 Nm (52 lb ft)

Manual Transmission
First Pass 50 Nm (37 lb ft)
Final Pass 70 degrees

OIL PUMP

Oil Pump Cover Bolt 10 Nm (89 lb in)
Oil Pump Mounting Bolt 41 Nm (30 lb ft)

EXHAUST MANIFOLD

Exhaust Manifold Bolt 20 Nm (15 lb ft)

WATER PUMP

Water Pump Bolt 25 Nm (18 lb ft)
