The mechanical components of the Hybrid Two-Mode MK3 2MT70 Transmission are as follows:

* Torque dampener assembly
* Gerotor-type main fluid pump assembly
* Gerotor type auxiliary fluid pump assembly
* Input shaft and internal gear assembly
* Sun gear carrier assembly first position
* Drive motor with generator assembly first and second position (A & B) position
* Internal gear assembly second position
* Sun gear carrier assembly second position
* VL 1-2R, C2-3-4, C1-3R and 4th clutch housing assembly
* Main shaft assembly
* Center support assembly
* Output shaft assembly
* Control valve body assembly

The electrical components of the Hybrid Two-Mode MK3 2MT70 are as follows:

* Two electric concentric motors, motor A 47 KW and motor B 55 KW
* Output speed sensor assembly
* Manual shift shaft position switch
* Control solenoid valve assembly, which contains the following components:

- Transmission control module (TCM)
- 6 variable bleed line pressure control (PC) solenoids
- 4 transmission fluid pressure (TFP) switch assemblies
- Torque dampener clutch pressure control solenoid (PCS5)
- 2 shift solenoids
