Conditions for Running the DTC
* The engine speed is greater than 25 RPM.
* The ignition voltage is between 11-16 Volts
* The engine has cycled ON and OFF between 6-16 times dependent on coolant temperature.
* The DTCs run continuously once the conditions above have been met for greater than 10 seconds.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The ECM detects a condition with the integrated circuits of the HO2S for greater than 10 seconds.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
DTCs P064D and P064E are Type B DTCs.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
DTCs P064D and P064E are Type B DTCs.

Circuit/System Verification
1. Ignition OFF, open the hood to disable the Auto-Stop function.
2. Ignition ON, verify the scan tool hood position parameter displays Open.
• If the hood position does not display Open, refer to DTC P254F (P254F).
3. Engine idling, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. DTC P064D or P064E should not set.
• If a DTC failed this ignition, replace the ECM.
4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
