Generator Control Module Coolant Pump Hose Replacement

J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the generator control module cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling (Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling)
2. Remove the left headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Service and Repair)
3. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers reposition the generator control module coolant pump hose clamp (1).
4. Remove the generator control module coolant pump hose (2) from the radiator surge tank air separator.
5. Remove the underhood junction block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement (HP7) (Service and Repair)Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement (HP5) (Service and Repair)
6. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (HP5) (Service and Repair)
7. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers reposition the generator control module coolant pump hose clamp (1).
8. Remove the generator control module coolant pump hose (3) from the drive motor generator control module coolant pump.
9. Remove the generator control module coolant pump hose fastener (2) from the cooling fan shroud.
10. Remove the generator control module coolant pump hose (3) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the generator control module coolant pump hose (3) to the vehicle.
2. Install the generator control module coolant pump hose fastener (2) to the cooling fan shroud.
3. Install the generator control module coolant pump hose (3) to the drive motor generator control module coolant pump.
4. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers reposition the generator control module coolant pump hose clamp (1).
5. Install the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (HP5) (Service and Repair)
6. Install the underhood junction block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement (HP7) (Service and Repair)Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement (HP5) (Service and Repair)
7. Install the generator control module coolant pump hose (2) to the radiator surge tank air separator.
8. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers reposition the generator control module coolant pump hose clamp (1).
9. Install the left headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Service and Repair)
10. Fill the generator control module cooling system. Refer to Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling (Generator Control Module Cooling System Draining and Filling)
