Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the engine control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the bank 1 exhaust camshaft position (CMP) sensor (8).




4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
5. Remove the CMP sensor.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the CMP sensor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the CMP sensor bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the bank 1 exhaust CMP sensor (8).
4. Install the engine control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
